Add a competitor
Go to Competitor Analysis for your site
From the dashboard, click Competitor Analysis on the site card, or navigate to Competitor Analysis in the sidebar and select a site.
Add a competitor domain
Click Add competitor and enter the competitor’s domain (for example,
competitor.com). You do not need to include https:// — just the domain.Select keywords to compare
Choose which keyword groups to include in the comparison. By default, Visen.io compares competitors against all keywords you are already tracking for that site.
You can add multiple competitors per site. There is no fixed limit on the number of competitors you track.
Viewing competitor ranking movements
The competitor rankings table shows your position and each competitor’s position side by side for every tracked keyword. Columns include:- Your position — current rank and daily change
- Competitor position — current rank and daily change per competitor
- Position gap — how many positions separate you from each competitor
- Trend — directional arrows showing whether the gap is widening or closing
Keyword gap analysis
The keyword gap view shows keywords where a competitor ranks but you do not appear in the top results. These are direct opportunities to expand your content coverage. For each gap keyword you can see:- The competitor’s current position
- Estimated monthly search volume
- Keyword difficulty
- A link to create a new tracking entry so you can start monitoring your own progress
Keyword gap data refreshes daily alongside your standard rank tracking updates.
Cross-portfolio benchmarking
If you manage multiple sites, the portfolio-level competitor view lets you benchmark all your sites against a shared set of competitors. This is useful for agency workflows or when you operate several properties in the same niche. Switch to Portfolio view in the Competitor Analysis section to see:- Aggregate visibility scores per site compared to each competitor
- Which of your sites are closest to outranking competitors on specific keyword clusters
- Cross-site trends over time
