Google Search Console (GSC) is Visen.io’s primary source for SEO and rankings data. Once connected, keyword performance data flows directly into your Visen.io dashboard alongside traffic and technical signals.

Prerequisites

Before connecting, make sure you have:
  • A Google Search Console account with at least one verified property
  • Owner or Full access to the GSC property you want to connect
If you only have Restricted access to a property in GSC, Visen.io won’t be able to read all available data. Ask your site administrator to grant you Owner or Full user access before proceeding.

Connect Google Search Console

1

Open Integrations

In your Visen.io workspace, navigate to Settings → Integrations.
2

Select Google Search Console

Find the Google Search Console card and click Connect.
3

Authorize with Google

A Google OAuth window will open. Sign in with the Google account that has access to your GSC property, then grant the requested permissions.
4

Select your property

After authorization, Visen.io displays the GSC properties available to your account. Select the property that matches the website you want to track.
5

Save the connection

Click Save. Visen.io will confirm the connection and begin ingesting data.
Each website property must be connected separately. If you manage multiple sites, repeat these steps for each one within the relevant workspace.

What data flows in

After connecting, the following GSC data is available in your Visen.io dashboard:
SignalDescription
KeywordsQueries that triggered your pages in Google Search
ImpressionsHow many times your pages appeared in search results
ClicksHow many times users clicked through to your site
Average positionYour average ranking position for each query
CTRClick-through rate per query and page

Data freshness

Real-time metrics appear in your dashboard immediately after the connection is saved. Full historical trends — including keyword-level breakdowns — populate within 24–72 hours as Visen.io processes your property’s data.
Starter plan: Historical data is limited to the past 90 days.Pro and Enterprise plans: Unlimited historical lookback is available, giving you full trend data from the earliest records in your GSC property.

Troubleshooting

First, confirm the connection saved successfully by going to Settings → Integrations and checking that Google Search Console shows a Connected status. If the status is connected but data is still missing, allow up to 72 hours for the initial data sync to complete. GSC data is not always available in real time from Google’s side — Visen.io reflects whatever GSC has published. If 72 hours have passed and data is still absent, check that the GSC property you selected has verified data in Google Search Console itself.
Authorization tokens can expire or be revoked. To re-authorize:
  1. Go to Settings → Integrations.
  2. Click Reconnect next to Google Search Console.
  3. Complete the Google OAuth flow again with the same account.
Your existing data and property selection are preserved during re-authorization.
  1. Go to Settings → Integrations.
  2. Click the menu icon next to Google Search Console and select Disconnect.
  3. Confirm the disconnection.
Disconnecting stops new data from flowing in. Historical data already synced to Visen.io remains in your dashboard unless you delete the property.
Only properties where your authorized Google account has Owner or Full access appear in the selection list. If your property is missing:
  • Confirm you signed in with the correct Google account during authorization.
  • Verify your access level in Google Search Console under Settings → Users and permissions.
  • If your access was recently granted, wait a few minutes and try reconnecting.
